Quintessential for Ergon – IELTS

The First step forward for those seeking to study or work in a foreign land is to clear the English language proficiency test, IELTS, an important pre-requisite for the selection process.

Every year thousands of students appear for IELTS and embark on a journey of success in a foreign country filled with opportunities and new possibilities. The amazing aspect of IELTS is that the tests are held in over 900 locations across the globe upto three to four times a month every year.

What gives this test such a high stature is the fact that it tests all the four important language skills – reading, listening, speaking and last but not the least writing. The whole test lasts for about 2 hours and 45 minutes and can be finished in one day itself. However, the speaking section is under test centre's discretion, it can be held before or after seven days of appearing for the other three sections.

Why opt for IELTS?

IELTS is an immensely preferred test for immigration purposes. You need a minimum acceptable score in all the modules as well as overall to secure admission in a worthwhile institution as well as be able to obtain the study visa. It is undoubtedly the best option for you if you want to start a new and promising life in another country.

Test Format

IELTS candidates have to choose between two variants of the test – Academic or General Training – reliant on their academic or professional ambitions, or visa requirements. The Listening and Speaking modules are common to both variants whereas Reading and Writing modules are different.
